theBluVR is a 20 minute immersive and educational roller coaster ride through three photo-realistic ocean environments. theBluVR features a toggleable Planet Earth like narration and sweeping score by the talented composer Kevin Brough

theBluVR was my first VR project as Director and Creative Director and I originally designed it as a fully interactive ocean experience. We pivoted to an on-rails experience due to the strict hardware limitations in rendering photoreal environments and characters

theBluVR was a defining creative experience for me and the insight I gained formed the basis of many of my early VR presentations at SVVR, GDC, Immersed

As part of the leadership team at Wevr and business developer, I demo’d early versions of theBluVR at many conferences and events like Sundance, SXSW, and GDC. At last count, I have personally introduced VR to over 200 people using theBluVR.

The critical success of theBluVR directly led to Valve tapping Wevr to create early VR content (theBlu: Encounter) for the in-development HTC Vive.
